Brothers and Sisters of Amarr and those of the lessor races I come today to speak to you on the virtue of Consistency. This sermon is in effect the opposite of Sermon #4 on The Sin of Hypocrisy. Consistency is the opposite of hypocrisy.

We all know what a hypocrite is. One who one day advocates one thing and the next day advocating the opposite. One who takes a moralistic position such as criticizing one for associating with pirates then turning around and associating with them themselves. Hypocrites are among us constantly and we must be on guard.

But there is another group of people with us as well. Those who are reliable, who are not hypocrites, who do not contradict themselves and thier beliefs with every action. They are not hard to follow because they remain the same from day to day. My own beloved Corporation PIE is one such group. What we stand for is what we stood for four years ago. When you say PIE you know what you get. In many ways this is true of many other corporations as well.

Those who are consistent are in fact living a life closer to God than those who are not. In a way being a hypocrite is the same thing as being a liar. Thus being consistent is in effect being of the truth. Would you rather be a liar or one who tells the truth? What reputation would you rather have? It is your future after all and even years later examples of hypocrisy can emerge to haunt those who have lived a life in sin. But for those who are consistent no such example can be brought forth. They are like a steady star in the sky always there, always lit and always there the next day.

Consistency is a virtue be assured. The ability to focus on one thing through the years and centuries as our Amarrian Empire has focused on God indicates a righteousness to our cause and a justness to our actions. The consistency of knowing "they're Amarrians they worship God" is perhaps the greatest reward we obtain from the general public. Our reputation as the faithful is steadfast.

How far would you go for victory? How far would you sacrifice your principles and morality to obtain a "win"? You see the hypocrite will do anything to win whereas the consistent would accept their place and their result and move on. In the end that consistency is in fact a victory for those who would lie and commit hypocrisy can never truly "win" in the eyes of God and the eyes of their fellow man. Their reputation in the end is stained by their past and examples of hypocrisy will always be attached to them like a stain upon the soul they are unable to remove.

Still there is hope. Those who have committed hypocrisy in the past can work toward redemption by entering a life in service. By atoning for their sins. By serving those they committed hypocrisy against. They can work to learn the true nature of consistency and the rewards it brings.

Those who are hypocrites can never hide from their past. The IGS and inpod evesearch interfaces allow one to travel back years in search of statements made by the hypocritical. They can not hide from their past.

Yet the consistent need not worry. They need not have to sit and wonder "what did I say last year?" or wonder "if I do this can it be used against me?". They are blessed with the reputation of reliability and consistency via their conduct. They are the truth while those who commit the lies of hypocrisy stand in the darkness yoked to the cart of sin.

Brothers and Sisters of Amarr, friends of the Empire and anyone who hears my voice, I implore you, stand up for consistency. Become a light of truth for those around you and work to obtain a reputation free of hypocrisy. I have to believe it is what God would want us all to do as His faithful.
